“An Adam’s Road Christmas” demo was released online in the Christmas season of 2010. It is a collection of eight traditional Christmas carols arranged by Adam’s Road and set to orchestration—along with a few original instrumental pieces. The desire of the band with this demo was to keep the focus on Jesus, and this is reflected in the selection of carols.
There is quite a variety of music and style among the songs on this demo, including the driving “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”, the triumphant “Angels We Have Heard On High” and the Latin-infused “Ding Dong Merrily On High. This demo also features the vocal talents of three of the band members' wives on the tender carol “The First Noel”.
One may be tempted to think they have already heard these carols done every way imaginable. But the listener will surely find in “An Adam’s Road Christmas” a new and engaging twist on old Christmas favorites. The band hopes at some point in the future to build on this project and release a full-length Christmas album.
